Playing Field Regulations

Regulations for the Use of the

Hedley Haward Memorial Playing Field, Chilfrome Lane,

Frome Vauchurch

 

The Playing Field is owned and maintained by Maiden Newton Parish Council to provide facilities for supervised, organised games and other leisure activities.

Motor vehicles, including motor bicycles of any size and motorised “go karts”, are not allowed on the Playing Field without the permission of the Parish Council

Owners of adjacent properties will be provided with a licence, renewed annually, to place a gate in their fence so as to gain access to the Playing Field.

Permission for the use of the Playing Field for organised sports must be sought from the Parish Clerk. Organisers are asked to provide a contribution towards the costs of the field maintenance and to insure against injury of their players, producing evidence of such insurance and the receipt for the renewal of the premium. (The present registered users are the Frome Valley Lions Rugby Club and the Maiden Newton & Cattistock Junior Football Club).

Dogs are not allowed on the Playing Field.

The welfare and behaviour of all children using the Playing Field, whether accompanied or not, are the responsibility of the parents (or of the organiser of the sports activity).

Casual users should not use the Playing Field in such a way as to cause any nuisance, damage, annoyance, inconvenience or interference to the Playing Field or to other persons using the Playing Field or the owners or occupiers of adjoining or neighbouring properties.

Litter must be removed.

The Playing Field may be hired for fetes and other Community activities. Details from the Clerk.

Permission for any other leisure activity must be sought from the Clerk or Chair of Maiden Newton Parish Council before the event takes place.
