Mindfulness, in its most general sense, is about waking up from a life on automatic.
For people of colour, we like teachings to be culturally sensitive and relevant and also believe that we can grow into what we see. Positive role models and mirroring which reflect who we are. We believe in seeds of love, not hate.
The opposite of forgetfulness is mindfulness. Mindfulness is when you are truly there, mind and body together. You breathe in and out mindfully, you bring your awareness back to your body, and you are there. When your mind is there with your body, you establish yourself in the present moment. Then you can recognize the many conditions of happiness that are in you and around you, and happiness comes naturally
We are all guests in this world and want our children to live in a safe world with opportunity.
